When we moved to Calitzdorp, we literally stayed in the mountains. We wanted to open up a shop in town, but it had to be more than just pipes and curios, so we started with a patio and served tea.
It was not long before the demand for meals came, and we decided to expand. We now have a big restaurant  catering for people in hurry and also those who come just to relax with something to drink. We have enough space to seat 30 people indoors, and up to a 100 outside.  Tours are welcome.

We are proud of our garden which is the best designed in this area. Many species of birds keep you company, and the small town atmosphere makes you want to stay longer... We can seat you inside or in the garden, even on the Voorstoep (front porch) where you can have an elevated look on small-town life. 
Inside the garden there is enough shade to guard you from the harsh African sun. The murmur of water lets you feel totally relaxed, and if you want to sooth your mind, have a look at the more than 30 Bonsai on display. 
Come and enjoy some of South Africa's finest traditional meals. Bring a bottle of wine along, for we are not licensed.  We will not charge you corkage.

In our curio shop there is anything from dried fruit, biltong (dried meat) to ostrich leather goods. There is some fabric art and wood turned and made objects. Buy a keepsake or a reminder of Calitzdorp.
